This post features student writing.

On our last day in Llanes we spent the morning exploring the sites in town. After a delicious lunch at a typical Spanish restaurant, we split into groups for an escape room and a scavenger hunt. We had to look in lots of stores and ask local people to get what we needed. Both of them were really fun and we all learned a lot. That night we went to a beautiful restaurant to celebrate our last night in Llanes. The food was as elegant as the restaurant and very delicious.

The next day we hopped on a bus to Fuentes Dé. The view was gorgeous and we got to explore the town of Potes before heading back to the hotel for a little rest. Afterward we had a typical Spanish combination platter for dinner and then headed off to bed.

Today we hiked the breathtaking Picos de Europa. We rode a gondola to the top of the mountain and enjoyed the stunning views before starting our hike. The hills were bright green and there were beautiful flowers dotting the landscape. At times we were above the clouds and we could see them rolling through the mountains. Cows and sheep were also enjoying the lush landscape and when we stopped for lunch we were approached by a group of horses. We can’t wait for the next adventure!
